A huge congratulations to Anjalé Perrault for her solo show TEMPTATION opening, including the launch of her new jewelry line, Anjalé Fine Jewelry! It was an incredible night at Resin Gallery in Hermosa Beach The entire gallery was filled with Anjalé’s work from the last several years. Front & center is is her latest series TEMPTATION, a juicy, wild collection of sensuously painted botanicals, snakes, and symbols of luxurious—you got it—temptations. These images seduce us & welcome us into *whatever we want.* And they tell us *yes.* PERMISSION GRANTED.
Anjalé’s first collection of jewelry is fit for a queen who loves rock-n-roll & knows her Latin vocabulary. The designs are equal parts ancient & modern, geometric & sensuous. Made of recycled gold & crafted right in Los Angeles, they have the details of vintage heirlooms & a future-past vibe.
Anjalé also released her first textile design, a kaleidoscope detail from one of her paintings, printed gorgeously on silk. The scarf is multifunctional and art fit for framing or wearing.
The reception was an electric gathering of family, friends, & art lovers who, in addition to Anjalé’s creations, were all treated to a night of tattoos designed by Anj & deftly executed by Big5 @elcincogrande of @unionelectrictattoo, delicious wine @beckerschildwines & a massive charcuterie by @boardsbymacha, as well as music by a DJ with the most positive vibes & an otherworldly dancer.
