ALICE KUO SHIPPEE
Since the fifth grade, when her father gave her a Kodak 110 camera, Alice has been sharing his passion for photography. Every few years, she has found a new focus, shooting everything from weddings and babies to boudoir and food. Her varied interests come from her background in dance, literature, design, education, and travel. She has a special love for graffiti and abandoned buildings. She has received recognition for her portraiture, voted as Best in the South Bay. Her photography has been published in Time Magazine, as well as numerous other publications.
She has an innate passion for getting to know people and helping them to represent who they are via the visual medium. Her purpose is to make the invisible visible.
Alice comes from a family of creatives and educators, and her work in teaching and the arts continues in new ways each year. She has a special mission to support others as they find their voices and connect to the wider community.
